Judy Chen

Judy began working in lifestyle hospitality after an internship with hotelier Andre Balazs. Prior to joining Dream Hotel Group in 2017, she was Director of Design and Development at Petit Ermitage in West Hollywood, where she was responsible for analyzing acquisitions and management opportunities as well as overseeing property renovations and new construction. She held the same position at the corporate office of the original Thompson Hotels (now Sixty Collective) in New York City from 2008-2011. She has also worked as an analyst at Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels, assisting with asset sales, hotel valuations, development advisory and management selection.

As a lecturer at NYU’s Real Estate Institute, Judy implemented its first hotel development overview course for its graduate program, where she is an alum.

Judy holds a BS in architecture design from the University of Virginia and a MS in real estate development from New York University. She is also fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
